Miami
MIAMI☀
Every time I think of Miami I start singing Will Smith’s song “Welcome
to Miami”.
Miami is definitely a good place to vacation if you like to relax,
shop, party and the beach.
Hotel: Cannot remember but it
was in South Beach.
Highlights: First off, Miami is
great because it is surrounded by water and a warm place. As I live in Canada, it
was refreshing to travel down south in the fall to a warm place. We
decided to stay in South Beach that way we were closer to the beach, shops and
the nightlife.
The people in South Beach were
very friendly which was nice and they were always open to assist with
directions. If you are looking to shop there were numerous stores and boutiques
in South Beach; Lincoln Road, Collins Ave and Washington Ave.
The beach was a 7-minute walk from our hotel which was great. Along the beach there are
A LOT hotels as well should you want to stay closer. During the time we were there,
the beach was calm and the water was cold therefore unfortunately we did not
spend much time at the beach as we planned to.
For transportation, we walked A
LOT which was nice to explore the streets and all that was going on. Otherwise
we took taxis and Uber.

Shopping in South Beach
The nightlife in South Beach was
the best part; Story and IVY nightclubs were really fun! We met a promoter who showed
us a few other wicked spots to party as well. LIV is also an amazing club (we heard a lot about
it but did not get a chance to go L next timeeee!)
It is a must to check out
Fountain Bleau Miami Beach if you can stay there and/or just visit for a day like
we did. We spent the day and rented a cabana and it was AMAZING.
The pools were spectacular, the services, alcohol and food.
Downtown Miami (Bayside Marketplace) was very nice and
felt very much like a tourist area. There was an outdoor shopping mall and a lot of restaurants. It was nice to see all the boats along the marina and we went on a boat tour. The boat tour was short but definitely worth it! It showed all the homes on the water and we learn a little history about Miami, Florida. We
also got to see dolphins during the tour! Sooo cool!
If I were to go back to Miami it would be during the Carnival as we heard so much great things about it and had just missed it !!!

Food: I’ll give it a 5/10 as we
stuck to American cuisine at local spots and chains.
Big Pink in South Beach was my favorite
restaurant.
Pros: The nightlife and the
weather.
There was a lot of things to
see; art deco, the marina, the beach and amazing views.
Cons: The water was cold at the beach
but I am sure it is not always the case.
