Chicago
CHIII-TOWN! ✈
In Summer 2013, I traveled to Chicago, IL.
Hotel: Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown Magnificent
Mile 4.5 star
Highlights: At the time, Porter Airlines had cheap flights
and I paid 300$ round trip.
Stayed downtown and everything was walking distance!
Recommendations: Stay downtown, visit the city's attractions
such as NBC tower, walk the DuSable bridge, cloud gate and Millennium Park. Go
see a sports game if you have the chance! It is a MUST that you
try Chicago's deep dish pizza- trust me it was worth the 1 hr 45 min wait!
Food: The deep dish pizza is pretty wicked so I’ll give it an
8/10. Otherwise food was typical American cuisine.
Recently (2019), I had a stop over at Chicago International
Airport and I had a chance to grab a small deep dish pizza at Reggio's soooo
goood!
Pros: You can walk many places downtown but transportation
is very reliable (subway and bus).
Cons: I did not find the nightlife to be great as the city was
dead after 2am and I could only find one diner open.
