Cuba

CUBA✨

In Spring of 2011, I had the opportunity to visit Cayo Coco, Cuba.

Hotel: Melia Cayo Guillermo 4.5 star all inclusive for 7 days.

In Spring of 2016, I stayed in Varadero, Cuba.

Hotel: Palma Real Hotel 3 star but was upgraded to the Starfish Varadero 3 star all-inclusive for 5 days.

Highlights: What I enjoyed most about Cuba are the beautiful white sand beaches and of course the weather. Havana is also VERY COOL and if I ever go back to Cuba, I would definitely stay in Havana. There is a lot of great history. The night life was not bad in Varadero as there was a local bar area which was packed every night.

Recommendations:  Take a day trip to Havana!  Go on an excursion!

Food:  3/10  for the food on the resorts as it is very bland and not many options. Bring your own condiments such as ketchup and hot sauce. I did get a chance to have a seafood dinner in Havana which I would rate a 8/10 for freshness and flavor.

Pros: Beautiful white sand beaches.
Havana was my favorite as I was able to see cool old fashion cars, learn about Cuba's history and try their cigars.
Starfish Varadero accommodations were beautiful as they were newly renovated villas across from the actual resort.

Cons: The food is not great.
The wifi is not good.
